A few days ago, VEM Live, the annual convention of VEM Sistemi, took place, divided into a live streaming event conceived as a moment of confrontation for the technology sector, with a multi-voiced story on the ability to use technology and human talent to rethink the spaces of the way of working and living through three guidelines: Cyber Resilience, Workplace Management and Digital Transformation.
Under the banner of phygital, the event began with the welcome of Stefano Bossi, CEO of VEM Sistemi, which introduced the location of the event, that is MUG – Magazzini Generativi, the innovation hub that Emil Banca has just inaugurated in Bologna and which hosts multipurpose co-working spaces, offices, meeting rooms and auditoriums, in a technologically advanced, which VEM dealt with the entire technological sector, from design to implementation: Daniele Ravaglia, General Manager of Emil Banca, explains the project in detail.
Full of various ideas, including the speech by Luciano Floridi, Director of the Digital Ethics Lab of the Oxford Internet Institute at the University of Oxford, focused on the theme of ethics and aesthetics of space between analogue and digital, the live talk then continued with a round table dedicated to the “next normal”on the themes of talent, space and technology. Stefano Bossi opened the discussion, introducing the VEGA project, acronym of VEM Experience Garden & Academy, on the topic related to skill shortage, which within the new VEM headquarters will attract customers, partners and young talents in innovation projects, startups., research, seminars, events and training, as well as a professionalizing degree course in Information Systems Technologies in collaboration with the University of Bologna, commented by Francesco Ubertini, Magnificent Rector of Alma Mater Studiorium of the University of Bologna.
But how can technology attract or retain talent? He spoke Gianmatteo Mangoes, CEO Cisco Italy, who stressed that today ” the talents they want to work in order to balance their personal and professional needs and those in all that technology helps because it allows you to work anywhere with the office security. Today, work is flexible and possible remotely, but we have also learned that social enhancement is indispensable, especially for complex projects and to foster creativity. Technology must therefore also be able to attract people to return them to the office, providing services that match the needs of employees and allow them to work at their best “.
Subsequently, the Digital week organized by VEM Sistemi began until 8 October, designed to explore the themes of the inaugural conference also with the contribution of VEM Sistemi’s partners Cisco, Citrix, Netapp, Panduit, Schneider Electric, Trend Micro, Rubrik and Certego, a VEM Group company.
